First Day of School

Kayden's first day of Mother's Day out was today. She was super excited to go to school just like her big sister and loved that she has a back pack and lunch box.
After posing for her picture, she took off.Once at school, she did the same thing. Look at my tiny little one walking across the field!

She paused for a bit to check on the playground.

We were early so we read for a little bit. Here she is eyeing the people coming in. You can tell that her enthusiasm is waning a little.

But just for a second. Look at that face! So lovable.

Taking off down the hall for her room.
Good times to be had on the bye-bye buggy.

Now, the moment I actually dropped her off and she realized I was leaving is when the drama started. After 5 minutes, I had another teacher check on her and was informed that she was still crying but that Ms. Karen (we love Ms. Karen!) had her. I asked if she was sad or angry and was told angry, very angry.

I called before I picked Keeley up and they said that she had a very rough start but had been doing well for over an hour. She was playing with kids and they were getting ready for lunch so I decided to leave her through the nap time.

After Keeley was picked up, she kept looking at Kayden's seat and saying "I miss my sister". How sweet is that?

Keeley woke up right before we had to go get Kayden so we packed up and hurried to the school. As I approached the door, I didn't hear crying and couldn't see Kayden. Ms. Karen said "She's sleeping, Mom". Apparently, should put up a pretty good (and loud) fight until 10:30 and then decided it wasn't worth it so she got happy. She ate a good lunch, did the craft, played peek-a-boo with a friend from her crib at nap time, and then finally fell asleep reading. She slept for 45 minutes after Keeley and I got there to pick her up!

All in all, I would say success!
