Nasher Sculpture Museum/Klyde Warren Park

I love being available to attend field trips with the kiddos. I also love that Kelly has a flexible enough job that he can stay home and watch Killian so I can be on the field trip and not worry about the littlest one.  For this elementary field trip, we rode the DART rail down town (fun and terrifying at the same time!), went to the Nasher Sculpture museum for a tour and then played at Klyde Warren Park after lunch.  It was such a great experience for the kids and I enjoyed watching them explore Dallas.

Keeley asked for a few picures while were were in the museum...

I really loved these chairs.  They looked like they were made of cardboard but they were actually metal (iron?) and bolted to the table.
It was important to Keeley that I take this picture from the side so that the depth could be observed.
This was our first visit to Klyde Warren Park.  Keeley laughed and giggled and smiled the entire time!
For a while, all the kids played on the play equipment. Then one of the moms let her daughter get in the water.  After that, it sort of turned into a free for all..

Unfortunately, when the teachers came over, all the kids (and grown ups) sort of got in trouble.  The teacher explained that parents might be upset and that the kids were in uniform so the rules had to be a little different.  Flashback to high school drill team for me and ALL the rules about what we were and were not allowed to do in uniform.  Oh well!  Teachable moment for everyone.  By the time we got back to school, everyone was dry again (and very tired!).
