Moving day!

We woke up to Easter morning, our moving day, to a piano party...

Then some Easter baskets....

Shortly after that, the rain set in so we didn't get to have a hunt and then the movers arrived....We had a fun morning at least!

NEW HOUSE!!!!

After an INCREDIBLY stressful build process, we finally, finally closed on our house.  We were all so excited.  We went from the closing to dinner and then straight to the house to take a few pictures.
So cute.  I love it!
Our huge backyard.  We are so excited about this!  Finding a lot that was a decent size in Frisco was tough and we'd been spoiled by our lot in McKinney.
Beautiful front door.
Kitchen I'm so excited about.  I also am in love with my counters but you can'r really see how beautiful they are here.
Stairs.  Oh my gosh stairs.  This is going to take a serious adjustment for Momma....
Excited about her room.
Posing at her door.
Excited about her own vanity and bathroom attaching to her bedroom.
Posing.  So much posing.
Girls in master bedroom.
Kids requested a pose of us....
And then one in our shower...so random...

Good times ahead with these stairs...

Right now...

Keeley:
* Brought me a "book" she'd made with stickers and pictures a few years ago and said "Look!  I made a book when I was young."  Today she proceeded to write the words to go along with the pages.
* Started piano lessons today and promptly came home to practice and teach Kayden.

Killian:
* Has mastered the art of climbing in and out of his crib.  He did this today.  Two days before our move to a two story house that already has me freaked out.
* Gets devastated when his sisters won't play with him.  He will knock on their doors, say "peek" and try to look under the door, and then look at me with tears.  Usually I can distract him.  Today he just said, "No. No. Go." with a sad face and hand wave.  Broke my heart.
*  He wants ALL his snuggles out of his bed when we read (or when he is hurt).  Tonight he climbed in and got them all out, threw them in his chair (saying "throw" each time) and then sat in chair to read.  I asked if I could sit with him and he said, "No." with a head shake and then pointed to where I could sit.

Kayden:
* Sat down at keyboard today before Keeley taught her anything and started to sound out "Fishers of Men."  Made me smile because she actually did a pretty good job and it also shows the difference between the girls in how they learn - Kayden observes and wants the final product.  Keeley wants detailed, step by step instructions.
* Came to me in tears with a red nose and said, "Mom.  When I was running upside down to jump on the couch my knee hit my nose and it really hurt."

Both the girls are hiding their underwear while the house is on the market so that if people look in their drawers the underwear will not be discovered.  Funny kids.

Piano!!

Keeley's gift from Grandma for her birthday was this adorable purple keyboard.  She was in love with it and started wanting to play.  I don't know how and so I asked if she'd like to take piano lessons.  She said yes so I contacted the music teacher at her school and asked if there was room for her to start.  There was, thank goodness, and it would be during school so I wouldn't even have to wait with Killian.  I was thrilled.  This is on the first day of piano lessons.  She came home and went straight to playing (not even interested in lunch).  Kayden watched her very, very carefully.

Eventually Keeley started teaching Kayden and so I asked if she'd like to take lessons too.  Kayden started the following week and the teacher said Keeley had done a great job teaching her and that she should stop so that the teacher would have something to do!  So cute!

More random pictures

I was able to catch Keeley setting up her Celebration of Life at school.  I LOVE how the school handles birthdays.  The parents share the story of the birth and a picture for each year of the student's life.  With each picture, the students walk around and show all their friends and then move the earth around the sun to signify the passage of time.  So sweet.
Keeley is writing lots of notes and stories now.  This one broke my heart though.
Love these kids with every single part of my heart.
Sweet boy is passed out.  He now needs his Grandma blanket, his two little blankies, his Pooh Bear, his dog, his Mickey, and his baby to go to sleep!!  He likes to rock with them too.  He'll keep pointing to them and asking for them by name or eventually just getting frustrated and saying "all".

Cake decorating

Keeley insisted that I make her cake again this year.  I was thrilled, but a little anxious about how that would work into the moving plans.  It ended up working out great.  I made the cake and then the girls wanted to help decorate.  It was so great!!!

And, the best part.....

Birthday Party!

Keeley was very insistent on having her party at our house this year so we obliged, even though it was the first weekend the house was on the market!  She wanted a combo Tinkerbell/Butterfly party but the closer we got to the party, the more Tinkerbell and less Butterfly  we used.

This was also the first year that she only invited the girls in her class to the party.  She did try to invite the twin brother of one of the girls but settled for just making him a goodie bag instead. :-)  We had so much fun!  We got a bounce house, played outside, decorated pots, and then planted flowers.

Of course brother had to do everything the girls did!

Kayden's Grandma present
Killian's Grandma present
Birthday girl!  She's actually opening up our present here.  She asked for dress up clothes and was so, so happy about them.  I really love that she's growing up slowly and still enjoys the simple parts of being a kid!
