Christmas Day - Part 2

After Killian's nap, it was still snowing so the kids decided to get as prepared as we could and head out to explore.  It took longer to get us ready than we spent outside, but it was fun!

We came inside, took a warm bath to get the chill from the snow to go away and then the Sweet Shop opened up.  Best tasting sweets around and the cutest bakers for sure.

Christmas Day - Part 1

Christmas morning we woke up to discover Santa had visited...

He also ate most of his cookies.  Killian went ahead and cleaned up some of the crumbs...

The kids had a lot of fun opening presents and exploring it all!  It was fun to watch Killian really understand the whole process this year.

Keeley had requested decorated Christmas plates so, of course, I took care of that :-)

Girls licking off the decorations...making sure to hold their hair back to keep it off of the  plate.
Always watching, Killian quickly follows suit.
After we ate breakfast, we opened stockings.  All three were so excited about the candy...

Mouth full of chocolate.  Love it.

After stockings, we started opening the presents from Uncle Kendall and Angie.  Oh my the presents!  I'm fairly certain that they did a better job than Mom and Dad and Santa combined!
Sitting on the presents and eating his chocolate.
Watching me open his present.  He's clearly too involved in his chocolate sucker.

Christmas Eve - Part 2

After we decorated cookies, I had to take Keeley up to the church to practice for the performance.  She was singing and being Mary.  Adorable.  She originally said she wanted to act in the performance but then would not speak during the audition.  Because she still wanted to participate, the director suggested Mary.  Keeley was still sort of shy about it but didn't know how to tell her "no" so it stuck.  She was so cute and did such a great job!
I think it is perfect for her.  She really loves babies and got to hold Baby Jesus.

Oma and Kayden waiting for it to start.
Killian wanted to be on the stage with Keeley.
Playing with the camera.

"Mary" and "Joseph"
Keeley did wonderfully and Kayden was able to enjoy the service.  Killian and I spent almost all of it outside, peeking in through the windows....After the service we headed back home to open presents. So fun to have a Grandparent day!

The girls received a Kiwi crate subscription and they set to work on it with Grandma and Oma.

Of course Brother needed to observe as well.
Kayden talking to Grandad about the activity.
We had such a wonderful time!  The kids are so lucky to have all their grandparents here and so active in their lives.  We love you all.

Christmas Eve - Part 1

Christmas Eve we started the day making cookies!!  The girls have made cookies lots of times with Oma and Killian loves to be involved in the kitchen...

Sharing the batter with Oma....
And getting a bite for himself.
So focused.

Flour.  He's licking flour off the counter.  Weird kid!

As the cookies baked, we ate lunch and put Killian down for his nap. The girls, Oma, and Grandad decorated cookies while brother slept.  They took such care and were very detailed in the decorating this year.

Santa had LOTS of cookies to enjoy!
