The girls were excited to have more snow days, at first. Then they realized that it is exceptionally boring to be stuck at home with mom for multiple days in a row. Not that I'm boring so much as I think they grew really tired of being stuck IN the house for that many days. On Friday, they both came to me separately and asked if we could please go somewhere. Fortunately, Daddy stayed home and we braved the one mile drive to McDonald's to play. I think we stayed close to 2 hours! They also didn't like that the snow wasn't much fun to actually play in. We did manage to get them as warm as we could and they played with Daddy for a little bit out there. Poor Daddy had to do it twice because Kayden threw a fit while Keeley was out there because she wanted to go out in only her panties. By the time I convinced her it was too cold for that, Keeley wanted to come in.

Posing for the camera. And she insisted on the skirt! |

Finally decided to join Keeley and Dad in the fun. |

Chasing Dad. |
We watched a lot of tv, baked, played games, and even fished these blocks out of the attic. They were quite proud of themselves and their work with the block. Amazing how fun toys are once they've been away for a few months!

Please disregard the laundry in the back and the towel for the dogs. Focus on the cute girls and the masterpiece they created instead! |
We managed to only have a few falls and sustain one injury. That one injury was poor Kayden and it happened in our house while she was sleeping. I woke up to her screaming and ran (relatively speaking for being 6 months pregnant and asleep myself) into her room. She'd fallen out of bed and landed (we guess) on her water bottle lid - cutting the inside of her cheek and scratching up the outside of her mouth pretty badly. Poor girl. What a sad way to wake up!
All in all, I think we were all ready to go back to school!
