Christmas

Christmas morning Kelly and I woke up early like we usually do so we are prepared for the crazy.  The girls woke up next and after we were all situated we told them they could go wake up Killian.  We all got downstairs and got stockings down and then realized that Killian needed a diaper change.  While I took him out to do that, the girls started opening their stockings even though we'd told them to wait a second (with no parents there).  We got upset, they got upset, Killian was upset that he hadn't been able to open his....it wasn't pretty.

They were excited about all of the goodies though!  Keeley is grinning ear to ear that Santa put a dry erase board in her stocking.  She is a child after my own heart!  After stockings the kids handed out all the presents.  There were a lot more than usual because Keeley had decided to make and repurpose presents.  Killian received a lot of stuffed animals that she didn't want anymore.  He was thrilled and it was so sweet to see her be so intent on giving.

Opening the family present that Keeley made for us.

Kayden's school gift to us.
Killian's school gift to us.
Keeley's school gift to us.  I love how she colored her fingernails purple.
This picture is terrible quality but I love how adorable it is.  Keeley is hugging Kayden after receiving the gift Kayden gave her (a science kit).  So happy she literally lifted Kayden off the floor with her hug.
See, I'm totally an office supply nerd :)
This was the prized gift. I had found an adorable advent calendar at Target that had little numbered drawers.  There was only one left and it had a few sticks missing off the top.  When we went to see my cousin for Thanksgiving, she had the exact one I wanted. Keeley saw how excited I was and she and Daddy went on a mission looking for it.  He found one that had a missing stick so he used a branch from our dead tree to repair it. I love it!
Sweetest grin as she opens the gift Keeley selected for her (a My Little Pony castle).
Killian digging into his presents.  No help needed this year!  He started with all the ones from sisters.
After we all opened presents, Grandma came over and we did presents with her.  I love how intently the girls are watching her here.

Then we headed out to enjoy the remote control cars that the girls received.  Killian also received a remote control airplane but he wasn't as into that as he was into chasing the girls' cars.

Then we headed back inside for lunch and some quiet time.
Reading her new book with some of her Christmas stash nearby.

Building with her magformers wheel set

Love my sweet family!!
