Holiday show

The kids' new school put on a holiday production.  It was very different from the ones at Good Shepherd - first because this one was secular and second because the kids have a more involved music class and they take a movement class.  For the production they learned dances and played instruments.  So adorable.  We heard about the songs and dances a ton before the performance so I was really excited to see it all!  The school divided up each group within the classes (since the classes span 3 years).  Kayden was able to perform the most because she was a graduating kinder.
Talking with a friend before the show started.
Sitting with her friends.  The two boys next to her are the other kinders in her class and the little girl next to her is her best friend in the class.
The welcoming song where they got to dance and sing.  This was only for the graduating kinders.  It was a traditional African welcome song.  I loved watching her dance.

Killian singing Jingle Bells and shaking his bells.

Sweet smile as she prepared to play.  She was excited about this because they were actually playing for the graduating kinders so she was playing while Kayden danced.

Graduating kinders doing their special part of her class' song.
This was a part where they got to dance a little bit.  Totally loving her face and posture.  This is how I always felt when we were told to just dance however we wanted...I wanted clear instructions!  Clearly she does too ;-)
She talked a ton about this dance and how tricky it was because they had to dance and twirl their umbrellas and move them and sing.  She did awesome.
"Carol of the bells"  All the first graders had to dance and the second and third graders sang.  Keeley was incredibly offended that she was not allowed to sing and wasn't given a song sheet.  She was so upset that she wrote her music teacher a note and mailed it asking if she could please have the song sheet.  She practiced ALL the time and you can see here that she was mouthing the words.  So funny.
