Killian is trying really hard to give up his nap. Kayden doesn't ever nap. Both of them needed to nap and I needed to rest so we all piled in Kayden's bed. Killian passed out but he was the only one. Look at that sweet face.

Water beads!
We love, love water beads. This may be the first time we've let Killian play with them. He loved it.

Loves his mama!
During our family movie night tonight Killian moved off the floor to sit next to me with his plate. I love those little chubby fingers.

Headed Home
We had such a phenomenally fun time with all our family! The trip definitely had its rough moments as we packed a lot in and were in very close quarters all the time, but it was such a great experience overall. We got to the airport early so we'd have time to be settled since we had such a rough time flying out to California at the start of our trip. The kids enjoyed the slow pace of our airport time...and the ice cream they could enjoy while we waited to board our flight.
We love Alaska Air. There were wikki stix in his snack pack. Adorable.

Last Day
For our last day we had some lounging on the hammock...
And then did some blueberries (these were SO tasty!)....
And then headed back for a picnic lunch on the porch and a nap for Killian and Mom. While Mom and Killian napped, everyone else went on an adventure into the forest to clear a path. When Killian woke up, he got in on the action too. I agreed to go on the adventure too after Keeley said, "Mom, everyone went in the forest. Even Grossmama. You have to come too."
For our last night in town we headed to town for dinner. Carnation isn't the biggest town but I thought this restaurant was quite tasty and loved the kids' cowboy boot mugs.
Once again we had some tired kiddos....

Great Wheel
When we'd gone to the Great Wheel and when we went to the ferry the kids had spotted The Seattle Great Wheel. I was hoping they would forget about it but all three asked about it independently so we decided to go. Kendall was the only one who joined us on our trip. I'm a planner but unfortunately you can't plan for maintenance issues. We arrived at the wheel only to discover that it was having some problems and we'd have to wait. Kendall decided to go to Kinko's to see if he could print our tickets so we could bypass that line (this plan didn't actually work...he had so many problems) while he let us stay and browse for souvenirs and candy. Yay for candy!
Best uncle ever. Seriously. Love him so much and the kids love him so much. |
Alright...the three of us tried and couldn't all look at the camera and smile at the same time...
After the Great Wheel we wandered over to Pike's Place and had some cheese food Beecher's. Then we headed home for some more porch time. The kids LOVED the porch. They also loved that there was no fence and they could run all the way around the house. That was there favorite part of the Seattle portion of our trip.
After a yummy dinner all together and some hot tub time, it was time for bed. Kayden and Killian were passed out. Killian is actually underneath the bed in this picture.
